LAT PHOTOGRAPHIC – Zach Veach was victorious Sunday in the Indy Lights race at St. Petersburg.

Zach Veach won his 1st profession Indy Lights race by leading every single lap of Sunday’;s season-opener in St Petersburg.

Veach passed polesitter Gabby Chaves in the first corner and cruised to a 5-2nd victory above Chavez.

Veach and Chaves were 2 of only 3 non-rookies in the twelve-driver area.

Jack Harvey completed third for the rookie’;s very first profession podium finish.

The race was stopped after, at the commence, when Scott Anderson crashed heavily at Flip 3.
