It was ominous for the rest of the grid when Red Bull driver Daniel Ricciardo took an assured 2nd location in the Australian Grand Prix.

This was a group that had been on its knees only 2 weeks earlier in Bahrain. This was the crew that had failed to complete a single lap on the penultimate day of pre-season testing and ran at this kind of a pathetic speed on the ultimate day that it seemed to be operating for tiny far more than running’;s sake. This was the crew that, by its personal admission, was 2 months behind schedule.

But when it got severe, when factors have been on offer you, the group in disarray still managed to earn a journey to the podium the least ready of the 11 teams nevertheless located a way to be 2nd-best when it genuinely mattered.
