Tony Stewart have to be feeling far better — just never ask him about it. Stewart at his feistiest greeted reporters Friday at Phoenix Global Raceway.

Asked how he was feeling soon after Speedweeks at Daytona Global Speedway, the driver who suffers neither fools nor repetitious concerns had a curt answer.

“I’;ll be sincere,” stated the 3-time NASCAR Sprint Cup Series champion, who missed the final 15 races of 2013 after breaking his right leg in a Sprint Automobile accident on Aug. 5. “I’;ll be much more content when everybody quits asking me how I really feel. I’;m not 100 percent. I’;m not going to be 100 % for a although. It was fine [at Daytona].

“There wasn’;t any drama, exact same as we mentioned for the [Sprint Limitless], same as we stated for the [Budweiser Duel] qualifying race and exact same as we stated right after the [Daytona] 500. I enjoy everybody checking on me, but it is not going to alter in a week.

“It was not a huge drama. Almost everything is fine. Every little thing is fine in the automobile this week so far. Hopefully, we’;ll be able to talk a year from now about how far we have come.”

Welcome back, Smoke.
