Graham Rahal's car was not damaged in a transporter fire on the road Monday night in Kentucky.

LAT PHOTOGRAPHIC – Graham Rahal’;s auto was not damaged in a transporter fire on the street Monday night in Kentucky.

A Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing group transporter caught fire en route to the IndyCar Series season opener in St. Petersburg, Fla.

The 2 transporter drivers discovered the fire Monday evening whilst in Louisville, Ky., approximately 2 hrs into the journey from the Indiana race store. The fire is believed to have commenced in the engineering lounge, and injury was limited to that location.

The lead to of the fire is below investigation.

There was no injury to driver Graham Rahal’;s auto or any of the racing tools.

The transporter returned to the race store Monday night and the tools will be transferred to one more transporter that was to head to St. Petersburg later Tuesday.
