Car crash scam arrests

3 guys have been arrested more than fake vehicle crashes set up to defraud insurance coverage companies.
Police raided 5 addresses in Reading at 8am on Tuesday as portion of an investigation into “crash for cash” cons in which fraudsters cause road crashes to declare insurance coverage money.
The arrests came right after 5 suspect crashes in Oxford, Abingdon, Vale of White Horse and South Oxfordshire among March and September final year.
Det Insp Louise Roddy stated: “This operation sends out a clear message that Thames Valley Police will take this kind of offences seriously and will deal with any offenders robustly.”
The 3 suspects, Studying guys aged 30, 38, and 39, had been arrested on suspicion of fraud, and a 27-year-previous guy was yesterday becoming held by immigration officers.
