Movie Friday: The 1965 Chevrolets by way of the eyes of 60’s Tv stars: Cast business features stars of ‘Bewitched,’ ‘Bonanza’ and ‘Man from Uncle’

Cast industrial attributes stars of ‘Bewitched,’; ‘Bonanza’; and ‘Man from Uncle’;

Earlier this week we wrote about Jeep’;s new Cherokee ad that ran throughout Saturday Night Live and starred

cast members from Saturday Night Dwell. Jeep referred to as it a “cast commercial” and apparently it had some precedent.

We did a tiny digging and identified this 5-minute spot on the new Chevy’;s for 1965 featuring the stars of “Bonanza,” “Bewitched” and “Man from Uncle.”

“This is the ’;65 Corvette Sting Ray,” says Pernell Roberts from “Bonanza.” “Looks like it indicates enterprise, and it does. New this 12 months, disc brakes all close to.”

The commercial also functions Robert Vaughn speaking about the 1965 Chevy Corvair, “with a telescoping steering column!” Later “Bewtiched” stars Elizabeth Montgomery and Agnes Moorhead extol the virtues of the 1965 Chevelle.

It is all rather cheesy, like most outdated adverts, but we do appreciate the goofy ’;60s mood music and results. There are a bunch much more like it in the relevant video part, and a handful of them are worth checking out.
