Mark Bower-Dyke, Chairman of Be Wiser Insurance, comments:
“Many of us use our cars without much thought to what they’;re really capable of – and that’;s a testament to the quality of the cars we drive these days. But this attitude means that we think our cars will be able to take on anything – and that’;s been a problem with the recent flooding, and the leftover water.”
When met with an unexpected fjord, many have attempted to pass as well as possible but have run into surprises beneath the surface, as well as a few warning lights they might not have seen before!
Mark Bower-Dyke comments:
“While plenty of large 4×4 vehicles will be more than capable of handling and clearing most water hazards, many smaller cars and ‘city 4x4s’; will find themselves in a tricky situation!”
With this in mind Be Wiser Insurance would like to remind everyone that when it comes to water hazards you never know what is below the surface!
Mark Bower-Dyke concludes:
“If you’;re unsure about progressing, then don’;t take the risk. Attempt to find a different route to your destination.”
