Mobile phones are the biggest supply of distraction for younger pedestrians and motorists.

A quarter of schoolchildren admit paying out more focus to their cellphone than to traffic when crossing the road.

A research carried out by car insurance giant AXA displays 75% of 12-12 months-olds consider a mobile cellphone to college each day, increasing to 95% for 16-yr-olds.

And almost 23% of students admit they have been distracted when crossing a street on the way to school.

Almost 1 in 5 pupils surveyed explained they have to cross 5 or a lot more roads every single day in the course of the journey.

The mobile telephone is now the most frequent gadget taken to college by young children, closely followed by the MP3 music player and tablet devices.

Amid pupils’ leading distractions on the walk to and from school are listening to music (61%), or exchanging text messages (60%).
