Organizers hoping to start at 5 p.m.
LAT PHOTOGRAPHIC – Rain brought on the qualifying sessions for IndyCar’;s race in St. Petersburg to be delayed 3 hours.
Wet climate was a large difficulty for the motorsports globe on Saturday.
In Martinsville, Tenn., rain washed out NASCAR Sprint Cup practice, Camping Globe Trucks qualifying and (as of now, anyway) delayed the trucks race.
In St. Petersburg, Fla., the wet weather also delayed IndyCar qualifying. Originally it was supposed to start at 2 p.m., but was delayed right up until 5 p.m.
