LAT PHOTOGRAPHIC – Rain triggered the qualifying sessions for IndyCar’;s race in St. Petersburg to be delayed 3 hours.
Moist weather was a massive problem for the motorsports world on Saturday.
In Martinsville, Tenn., rain washed out NASCAR Sprint Cup practice, Camping Planet Trucks qualifying and (as of now, anyway) delayed the trucks race.
In St. Petersburg, Fla., the wet weather also delayed IndyCar qualifying. Initially it was supposed to start off at 2 p.m., but was delayed right up until 5 p.m.
