ICEA in bid to increase coverage

KAMPALA, Uganda – Insurance coverage businesses are increasingly adjusting their merchandise for specific market place segments to enhance their marketplace share.

In a move to expand its organization, the Insurance Company of East Africa (ICEA) has additional a car insurance product focusing on women to its expanding portfolio.

The company’s Chief Executive Officer, John Karionji stated, “With far more financial empowerment of females in Uganda, the female clientele base has quickly expanded in the recent previous, but the industry has not totally met their distinct car insurance requirements.” 

The ‘Diva Motor Policy’ is packaged to meet the simple considerations of female drivers.

He stated, “Women are generally far better drivers, they are far more mindful. They are less likely to be involved in road fatalities because they get fewer hazards.”

In addition to the normal rewards of a motor policy, the policy makes it possible for female motorists to declare for loss of their personalized possessions like a handbag and its contents in the occasion of an accident or theft of the insured motor car. In partnership with Automobile Association of Uganda (AA) the lady driver will benefit from a countrywide 24 –hour roadside help services like tyre shifting and automobile towing.

The policy also offers a personalized accident liability cover to 1 individual while travelling in the insured vehicle of up to a highest of Ush 3m (about $ one,100) dependent on the category. There is also a reimbursement of healthcare expenses up to a optimum of Ush1, 000,000.
