Back in December, Honda Yuasa Racing gave us 1 picture of the Civic Tourer entrant it is fielding in the 2014 British Touring Vehicle Championship. Thanks to media days at Brand names Hatch and a couple of photos from Oulton Park, we’;ve got a total photo album of the elongated Civic that will try to proceed Honda’;s BTCC winning methods and shots of drivers Gordon Shedden and Matt Neal.
This is the first wagon to race in the BTCC because 1994, when Jan Lammers and Rickard Rydel had just 1 year to throw the Volvo 850 Estate BTCC between the kerbing. The following 12 months, the rules were changed so that rear wings could not extend above the roofline or beyond the rear bumper, which meant the finish of Volvo’;s blue and white “pizza delivery wagon.”
The season starts on March 30 at Manufacturers Hatch, when Shedden and Neal will begin trying to wrest the driver’;s championship crown from Pirtek Racing. We don’;t know anything at all a lot more about the manufacturer entry go-rapidly Civic Tourer, even so, which means this is just an easy feast for the eyes. Simply because racing wagon.
