It seems as even though Gene Haas could really have a opportunity to lead Formula One’s 12th group in the coming seasons.

But it won’t be low-cost getting an American team on the grid.

According to a report from England’s Mail On the web, F1 CEO Bernie Ecclestone thinks Haas will get the possibility to add a team to the series, but that it will value around $ one billion to do so.

“I consider Haas will be accepted,” Ecclestone advised The Independent. “They have received the money, but it’s a query no matter whether they are going to commit it.”

Haas put with each other a proposal to join F1 back in January.

Ecclestone reportedly informed Haas, “A billion would last a new team proprietor 4 years. I’ve spoken to Haas, but I don’t know what they are going to do. It’s America, so I don’t know.”

The FIA was supposed to make a decision by the end of February, but there has but to be an official announcement on any new F1 teams.
