Chrysler programs to give full-time staff at its Toledo Assembly Complicated a break by hiring as several as one,000 portion-time employees.

In February, Chrysler in the United States offered 10,640 Wranglers, up 5 % from the year-ago month, and 11,795 Cherokees. By way of the 1st 2 months of 2014, Chrysler has offered twenty,193 Wranglers and 22,300 Cherokees.
In 2013, U.S. Wrangler income rose 10 percent to 155,502 units.

According to The Blade of Toledo, personnel at the plant routinely operate 60 hrs a week to maintain up with motor vehicle demand. The new staff are meant to alleviate some of the burden on the total-time workers.
The plant employs 4,108 employees on 2 shifts.
The application period for the new jobs has closed.
The plant has employed 380 temporary staff this year, with 50 having been converted to full-time personnel. The new positions will pay $ 15.78 an hour for 10 to thirty hrs a week.
The tenure of the component-time employees depends on car demand, but a Chrysler spokesman told Automotive Information today that some of the new staff could be employed on a total-time basis.
