Ganassi says he does not dignify statements from Staff Penske president Tim Cindric

LAT PHOTOGRAPHIC – Chip Ganassi responded to statements made by Crew Penske president Tim Cindric on Friday.
Chip Ganassi stated Roger Penske spoke to him about the furor brought on by Team Penske president Tim Cindric.
Cindric advised USA Nowadays that Team Penske is the New York Yankees of the Verizon IndyCar Series Target Chip Ganassi Racing is the Miami Marlins.
“He did not mention the Marlins,” Ganassi stated. “He did say that ‘I’m obtaining a whole lot of press the previous couple of days with your title attached to it.’”
Ganassi explained Cindric’s comment did not shock him.
“Let’s just say that I think from time to time Tim almost certainly cashes a whole lot of checks in different currencies that Roger possibly does not like cashing,” he explained.
Ganassi stated he did not give a lot thought to what Cindric explained.
“I don’t genuinely dignify Tim’s remarks when they are excellent or poor,” he explained.
Ganassi wasn’t concerned about how the comment sparked the rivalry, either inside the paddock or outside it.
“That’s some thing for the press to choose, not me,” he explained. “People have opined for many years about distinct rivalries and then they explained it is good for the sport. Nicely, I do not know.
“I’m in the organization of operating race teams. I’m not in the PR company. I’m in the winning races enterprise. I can’t say one way or the other whether or not it’s great or negative. Some people (say) it is very good other people I don’t know.”
