The 2015 BMW M4 appears to include all the essential ingredients to provide dynamite driving experience. It is an M auto right after all. But in today’;s continuously connected globe, the encounter of hurtling a car around a track isn’;t constantly enough.
We want information, and whilst there are some strong telemetry apps offered for smartphones (notably Harry’;s GPS LapTimer), makers have been a bit slower to build their own dedicated mobile telemetry trackers for their efficiency vehicles. With the new M4, however, BMW is taking the plunge, allowing drivers to track their lap progress through a new app, creatively named the M Lap Timer.
To present off the plan, BMW has recruited touring car racer Andy Priaulx to execute a quickly lap in an M4 at the UK’;s Brand names Hatch circuit. The accompanying video isn’;t going to do considerably to show off the app in action. Rather, it give us a stylized look at the metrics as Priaulx hustles BMW’;s hottest 4 Series coupe close to the circuit.
Of course, the Lap Timer is something we hope to sample as soon as we get our 1st turn in the M4. Till then, have a seem under to see just what it is capable of.
