And he insists that his newest speak of retirement is not because of the Gerhard Gribkowsky corruption scandal, that if located guilty would at ideal see him fired and at worst land him in a German jail. Ecclestone likened his ideas about retiring to that of a sports star quitting even though at the best of his game.

He stated the Gribkowsky case, in which he is accused of bribing the now-jailed Gribkowsky to the tune of dozens of millions of dollars, has absolutely nothing to do with his new retirement thoughts.
“No, that is practically nothing. No, no,” Ecclestone insisted. “It’;s the way individuals have to run businesses today compared to how they utilised to.”
He explained he is referring to today’;s era of “corporate governance,” involving “different committees, ethics committees and god understands what else boards to report to.”
“I did not know about any of these items back then. Almost certainly, if I had of completed, I would not have lasted as prolonged as I lasted. And we will be much more restricted as time goes on. That is how the world is. It truly is coming that way. I do not agree with it. What we are slowly but certainly managing to do is get rid of entrepreneurs.
